You'll almost certainly need to run the wires yourself - everything in the standard wiring harness has a specific use. The most likely wires going to the bow would be for the side lighting under the rub rail (see my writeup in my sig links - there's photos). You might be able to run wires along...
As rbtnt has mentioned, you need to have the key in the "on" position to use the trim switch from the controller. It works for about 5 or so minutes after you turn off the motor as well. If trim isn't working from the controller even while running, something is funky with the rigging. There's...
It's probably pre-wired - there should be plugs near the bow/front you can tap into. My "RGB Pontoon lights" link below has details and photos on what I did and what my setup looked like. Good luck!
That's my next play. I used an acid wash from Sharkhide after my first year and it made the toons very white, but it faded into "normal" aluminum quickly and I then applied Sharkhide. I have a bunk-style lift with black rubber guides and so I have huge blackmarks down the side of both toons, and...
Great Lakes Skipper is probably going to be your friend for a bunch of these. The Indirect Tube Lighting is probably the side-LEDs under the rub rail that illuminate your pontoons at night (see my posts in my sig for details and a DIY).
Here's all the Benny parts on GLS...
You might be able to source them from the manufacturer, which I think is here: https://www.lippert.com/sureshade-power-bimini-actuator-sure-shade-pwr-actuator
Here's the end-caps: https://www.lippert.com/actuator-end-cap-853972
I've heard of others on the board having good luck/info from https://www.yamahapropselector.com/ - it's an interactive tool to help you find the best option for your setup. Good luck!
Dollars to donuts you just forgot either a positive or negative lead wire for the helm wiring. I've done that. The helm wires are smaller than the motor connections and they're easy to miss.
Post a pic of your setup if that's not what's going on. If you accidentally installed positive and...
I always used to cover my boat, but the last 2 years I've been leaving it open when we're not using it (we have a covered lift as well). I picked up a cordless/lake-fed pressure washer last year and hose it off when the pollen gets too crazy, but other than that, there's really been no reason to...
I think the amazing V8s that are available in outboard now were the nail in I/O's coffin. A neighbor of mine went through 3 I/O Bennies (traded them up every other year) and he got a Merc 450R 3 years ago. I've ridden in them both and there's no comparison. The grumble of the I/O is VERY nice...
A good canvas shop should be able to handle this - depending on the issue it should be cheap. I had some rips in my 2011 canvas thanks to family putting the bimini UNDER the cover and forcing it (full on tears - grrr) and the canvas shop fixed it up in a couple days for $75.
