I would look to keep a 14 pitch but a larger diameter.

EXTRA NOTES: Just bought the boat as a new leftover and haven't had her in the water yet myself; dealer water tested it before delivery .  Curious how the prop will do; it was installed by the dealer.  It seems a bit pitchy for this engine.

Diameter is on the short side, so it might not be too bad. I am curious to see your results...  Main thing is to make sure your RPMs stay high enough per Yamaha specs.  You are right to be concerned with the high pitch though...  You don't want to lug a new motor!

Put a 15x15p prop on it. It'll run better.

I'll guess 35 mph if propped right and with a light load. Maybe 36.

Kaydano, I know nothing about props-suggestions? Thanks

I had a 13.75 x 15p on my old 115.  Mine is a 24SSL though.

Pretty simple.... keep electricity away from your pontoons and you'll have a boat.  :P

It's a long story ....

As with all boats, they shrink in the water, my second Bennington really did. Going from 2011 2575 RCW tri-toon, 250 Yamaha to:

Boat Model---   22RCW E

Model Year---   2017

Tube Option--   ESP with strakes

Motor-----------   250 Yamaha

Prop------------   TBD

Performance--  TBD

Boat being delivered next Tuesday, 6/13

This is my third pontoon, 11th boat overall to fill bucket with money and throw into water  :-)

Well, the delivery of my Bennington was much later than expected (long story), but I finally took delivery today.  20SSRX tri toon, 140hp Suzuki, in-toon storage, dual battery, Garmin GPS/fish finder, and Spend A Day threw in hydraulic steering for free due to the delivery snafu.  It's only had one voyage to the home dock, but so far so good.

Photos to follow. iPad won't let me get res low enough.
