did you go with power assist steering or just hydraulic?

Just hydraulic and it steers just fine...at least to me.

You getting one too?  If you are, I think you'll be very happy with it.  I foresee me using mine a lot more than I did my old little jet boat.  It's just an all around pleasure in every way.
