We live in FL and primarily go boating on Anna Maria Island. We always have to use two anchors at the sandbar. Just considering alternatives to traditional anchors right now. Thanks for the reply.
We go to the sandbar a lot. Just thought it would be easier to hit a button to anchor. More of a convenience item but the cost is a lot. Considering an anchor stick as well.
We are considering installing a power pole on our pontoon boat. Before we sink ALOt of cash on this purchase, I need some advice. Did you purchase it from Amazon or Bass Pro? Did you install it yourself or use a professional? What size did you purchase? Everyone is always so helpful on this...
We had both the analog gauges and the Simrad put on during the build. However, the cord does not tell the trim tilt, or any fuel consumption or capacity. It does tell rpm and that was it. We will follow up with the dealer about digital gauges. Hopefully, that fixes our problem. Thanks for...
Thank you for your reply. If you are suppose to have digital gauges in order for the NMEA to work...don't you think Bennington should tell you that when you order the NMEA cord? Should the repair come out of our pocket for not knowing? We probably wouldn't have ordered the NMEA had we known...
I should have my husband answer this because I do not have a clue. All I know is that it is a cord that connects with the Simrad to display engine data. NMEA stands for National Marine Electronics Association.
We took it in once for this issue and that is what the dealer told us. We haven't taken it back for a year. We are taking it in again this weekend. So it is really more of our problem not following thru. The boat dealer is an hour away and we have been using the boat during the summer and...
We installed a NMEA cord when we had our boat built because advice on this forum said to do it at the build. However, it doesn't work. We have analog gauges. The dealer says that it doesn't work with analog gauges and we should have had digital gauges. The dealer says Bennington should have...
P.S. Our dealer told us that Bennington should have caught this mistake on our build. They should not have installed analog gauges if they only work with digital gauges for the NMEA cord to be functional. Any advice? We have a non-functioning cord that we paid a lot of money for at the build!
We ordered a NMEA cord with our build two years ago. We have had it in the shop before because it doesn't work. We were told it would monitor the fuel level, engine temperature, trim. etc. We have a Simrad. We currently have analog gages. Do we have to have digital gages in order to make...
We want to fly a USA flag on our pontoon tomorrow for Veteran’s day. We did not purchase a flag pole. We did purchase some installation clips from Bass Pro. The instructions said to attach it to the stern light. My husband thinks it will have too much drag. Has anyone had any problems with...
Our boat is less than 6 months old with about 40 hours. We keep it on a trailer normally, but decided to leave it at our lakehouse for a month. I just didn’t think that it would change the color of the pontoons at the water line with Sharkhide protection.
After talking with my husband, I found out that the pontoon was in the water for a month...not a long wknd. However, our lake is spring fed and very clear.
We tried to wipe it off and it doesn’t come off. We actually had it in the water for a month not a long wknd like I thought. But still our lake water is spring fed and very clear.
