Welcome to the forum. I think you may be surprised and get 50 mph from that beautiful QX. I have the 200HO on my 25 GSB and can get 49 mph with a light load and just me and the wife. That G2 engine will get you on plane fast and then pull hard. Looking forward to hearing about your first voyage.
It will fit but just barely. I have a 25 GSB under a 30 foot canopy and with the bow lined up against the front of the canopy the shroud will be covered underneath if in the down position. My suggestion is to leave a foot or so covered at the bow and trim the engine up full tilt to pull the...
It seems kind of silly but I stick this just under the steering wheel and it holds my phone, wallet and other things right where i can reach them. And it keeps my phone in the shade so it won't overheat. This is important for me since I am always streaming music via Bluetooth. And only $4. I...
I have exactly the lift you described with toon rails for my 25 GSB. First quote was 14.2k. Went to the other installer on the lake and was 12k all in. Sold. I figured all would be about the same price but margins are pretty good on shore stations apparently and the second guy wanted the business.
What pontoon setup do you have? When we ordered our GSB in 2017 the SPS could not have the single pole due to the fuel tank being there in the center toon. ESP package could have the single ski pole. Not sure about dual or express pontoons.
I have a swing back so I already have a lot of storage buts it's just silly how much is in our center toon: 1 large bundle of 6 life jackets, 2 table posts and table tops, two six foot pvc poles for beach frisbee game, four support poles for cover, four folding bag chairs for the beach, four...
Beautiful build! As far as the reg numbers, I didn't want to break up the accent stripe so I bought the matching chrome numbers from domednumbers.com and placed them just below the bennington logo on the front panel and they fit perfectly. See my thumbnail pic to the left. I think the black...
I have used the Taylor clips for years and have never seen any wear including on my blackout rails. But I understand your concern especially if they are used all the time.
Those of us who researched and shopped extensively before buying will likely all tell you that is a fantastic deal. My boat is only 2 seasons old but I'm tempted by the price for the QSB on their site.
I am using a rebel stainless prop. I only say I am underpropped since I am only getting 5100 rpms at WOT. But I am extremely satisfied with the performance so not really looking to test other props/pitches at the moment. My dealer rigs a ton of evinrude so I am deferring to their...
I can confirm that the rail is screwed on and not bolted so I agree that reinstallation may be tricky. But the rail is extremely secure. I have leaned and pulled on it with my full body weight and there is no give at all. Not the case with some other areas of the boat that are screwed together...
