    Sea Foam or Star-Tron

Thanks Carl. Right. I do not see the SeaFoam listing any fuel system cleaning but does mention de-ice & anti gel as well as stabilize fuels. It also lists all the things internal to the engine. Since our boat has not run in a while, I'm leaning more toward the Star*Tron. My bottle claims "cleans...

    Sea Foam or Star-Tron

The non ethanol is not an option where I boat. I did find a station on US 98 in Destin, Fl. (Sunoco) that had it and also the marinas on Lake Travis @~1.00/gl extra. I've been using Shell gas that is street gas (and street prices) at the McDonalds on the south end of Lake Conroe since Feb. 2008...

    Sea Foam or Star-Tron

I just removed as much gas as I could from the 35 gallon tank on our 2577RFS that had been in storage for about 10 months. I also drained the lines and removed fuel from both water separators and filled with fresh gas. The old fuel had been treated with Marine Sta-Bil since last fill (Sept. 17)...

    Fuel octane

Our 2006 Yammi F225 has been fed street fuel (87 octane ethanol laced) since first day. I think that I might have added a few tanks of gas with Valvetech additive when on Lake Travis last year. I treat off season with Stabil Marine and run tester for water and alcohol content b4 each spring 1st...

Offset support pole for playpen cover

I remember having that same issue. I bent that offset pole a bit to get it more lined up. I then added a small towel and some rigid foam blocks under the upward curve sitting on the sundeck to give it support.

    Bilge pump fuse location

Yeppers. My pump had come loose awhile back and stuck on so the battery ran down (forgot to turn off the Perko switch). I found that fuse under the helm and have since kept it pulled open unless I need to run the pump in the center tube ski locker. Rain water will sometimes get in the locker...

    Gas Problem

I find if I turn the gas fill handle about 90 degrees, it works much better. We always had the issue and had to fill very slowly until a guy up at one of the marinas on Lake Travis showed us the trick.

    Trailer Thoughts?

Hey Tin Diesel, We keep our boat at Lake Conroe most of the time but spend a week or two in Navarre Florida with the boat in the water a full week at a time. After we load it back up on the trailer we wash it and the trailer down really good. It helps now that we do not have carpeted bunks (1/2"...

    Trailer Thoughts?

Overkill not needed but a great trailer by all means. I mean really nice. What I've had for 10 years is a galvanized EZ-Loader with Reliable brand wet bearings, single axle surge brakes. Works great. Make sure brakes stay adjusted. I added UHMW plastic when I replaced the bunks. Makes loading...

    Bilge pump fuse location

I know this is an old post but wondering if anyone found the fuse?? The fuse is in a black wire under the dash. It's an inline fuse inside a yellow holder. It's coming off one of the other blocks on the dash.

Regular Street Gas on Lake Travis

Thanks Chrisbert, We have stayed there a couple of times '08 and '10. Great place. The first time out 2 year old boat rubbed the code box at entry and nearly pulled it out of the ground. I got it and our rub-rail straightened up b4 anyone caught on. Second visit, we parked under a dripping pipe...

Regular Street Gas on Lake Travis

Well, here's the deal. Those floating docks are a cheap convenience to buy gas. The McDonalds is a Shell gas dealer on highway 105 15km west of Conroe and 10km east of Montgomery. And yes, lakeliving, it has a Montgomery zip 77356. The Valero on the west (left) side of the cove is also a street...

Regular Street Gas on Lake Travis

It's gas that sales on the street but is available at floating pumps at the same price as the street. We get ours at the Valero and McDonalds seen in the pix of one of the southern coves on our lake. Street prices about $2/g.
