To bad your salesperson had no clue about what they were selling. If you could afford to go up to a 150 then he/she should have showed you the G2 150HO (FYI just because the 135HO puts out 148 doesn't mean its in the same category as the 150. It is totally different, you go from V4 to a V6)...
Can't imagine there would be a noticeable speed difference with a wrap. The more I look though the more I like having painted toons/wrapped toons. They look great when they are brand new, but throw in the water a few times and you start to get stains. Ranger boats paints all of their tubes...
What's really funny to me about HP is that the vast majority of men and I did mean to say men as women don't think the same way. Guys just want bigger and bigger motors on their boats, just to say mine is bigger than yours (majority won't ever use their motor to it's fullest potential). Everyone...
As an FYI, all Evinrude G2 (150-300hp) are standard with digital controls, they don't offer analog/cable. They come with integrated power steering meaning its on the motor (same as your car, 1 finger steering). The difference between that and aftermarket is no sound from a pump and you will...
It's true that re-power has gone by the wayside when you figure out what a new motor costs and what it might cost to buy a new boat. However I would seriously look at how many hours per year you use your boat and then figure out if you would really get your moneys worth when you purchase a new...
I really don't think it has anything to do with the motor. I would first start with the batteries, led lights draw very little power and you should be able to run them for quite some time before worrying about draining the battery to far. So something else has to be draining them.
I recently had a chance to drive one of these. It is literally like taking your living room on the water. Definitely for that person who wants to pack his/her boat and entertain.
Like others have said, any of the engine manufacturers out there are good choices. They wouldn't be in business if they weren't. I will say I am biased towards Evinrude, but for good reason. Those who don't know always say 4 stroke is the way to go, 4 stroke manufacturers have done one hell of...
I have been doing google searches looking for touch up paint and also searching the forum, but haven't found a definitive answer to the question of getting touch up paint for my pontoon. Well I stopped into the dealer today and they can get you whatever color you need from Bennington. I am not...
Doesn't surprise me that Yamaha, Mercury, and now Suzuki are having supply issues. They are all lower cost motors, therefore power many boat companies lines to keep costs down. Evinrude and Honda tend to be the priciest of the bunch. Take a look at all the highest end boats on the market they...
Most likely more of a money talks scenario than they know what they are doing. Personally know one of the other 3 companies that were bidding to buy them. They also knew exactly what they were doing and in fact held market share in many of the other categories that Polaris competes in.
