Hat tip to Manitou (BRP) for innovation

I think any 2 stroke submerged halfway in water will need to prove its durability over many years before I would consider it. I’m just hoping there is another way Bennington can replicate a full, flat rear swim deck. And Kahuna, those rear facing seats flip forward (similar to a swing back...

Hat tip to Manitou (BRP) for innovation

I was recently visiting For Myers Beach, FL and noticed came across a dealer with a bunch of Manitou Explore models for sale. At first, the unique design of the exterior caught my eye but as I got closer the flat swim deck stood out even more. At first I thought they just hadn't rigged the...

Do you get water in compartments?

Thanks for the thorough explanation, big shooter. I think you're correct in that the bottom hole likely just drains into the deck and eventually, overboard. All of the holes are aligned on my compartments so let the troubleshooting continue! Thanks again.

Do you get water in compartments?

What is the "part below" you are referencing here? I'm familiar with the hole in the top of the seat compartment in the channel (you have pictured above) but not the part below. Are you referring to a drain tube - like the one under the helm? I have no such tube or any other parts below that...

    Water In Transom

Where are you looking for the water coming out when turning on the bilge? On my L, the water discharges at the top of the center toon and drips down the side of the toon into the water. The only way you can see it is if you lean over the deck completely and look underneath.

    Favorite furniture layout & Why

We have a similar quad bench layout on our 23LSRC. As Vikingstaff mentioned, we chose this layout as we have two toddlers and this keeps them corralled pretty well. Plan to enjoy it while they're young and likely move over to a swingback 4-6 years down the road.

How much did you use it?

Just ended our first season with 55 hours on the clock.

    Washdown & Storage Question

Seems like a good, easy to execute hack! Plenty of youtube tutorials out there, indeed. I may give it a go. Thanks! Never thought condensation alone could be the culprit but based on Remediation and SLXGUY's feedback it seems like a strong possibility. We also only store hard objects...

    Washdown & Storage Question

While I'm sorry to hear you're having water issues in the center toon, it's nice to know I'm not the only one! Agree that the placement of the bilge pump is not well thought out. So you think all of the water you're getting is from condensation alone? We ran a number of "tests" this summer to...

    Washdown & Storage Question

Great input here. I'll chime in... We ordered a 23 LSRC last year (took delivery March 2021) and like you, we were between a 22' or 23' at the time of the build. We ultimately went with the 23' mainly to gain extra seating space in the bow. We noticed while building, that when we jumped from...

    Bilge pump question

Good to know! We were doing quite a bit of water skiing so not surprised to have some water in there after a full day out. One other potential factor is the bilge pump discharge. Not sure if all newer Benningtons are designed this way but when I run my pump, the water discharges right where...

    Bilge pump question

While we're talking water in the center toon, how much is normal? We've had a bit of rain in the northeast recently (nothing out of the ordinary) but when I opened the hatch, there was about 3 gallons of water in there. I pumped it out, got it completely dry (bailing the remaining half gallon...

    Took delivery today!

Glad to see I'm not alone! Like Potomacbassin' mentioned, we have a built in reason to upgrade 5-10 years down the road! Looking forward to enjoying this one in the meantime. We're thrilled with how it came out.

    Took delivery today!

Thanks, everyone! If the center toon storage keeps the little man entertained all day it was ~$1,400 well spent!

    Took delivery today!

After a long cold winter, our Bennington finally arrived! We placed our order in early September. Build date was late February and shipped earlier this week. 23 LSRC w/Yamaha 150. I was really pushing the wife for one of the cool swing back layouts but with a 3.5 and 2 year old, we chose the...
