    Fuel Guage

Oh yeah, for everyone else remember most fuel tanks in boats have a "V" shaped bottom. That means the top half holds more gas than the bottom half does. If you drive until you have a half tank - - - you won't make it back!!

    Fuel Guage

Unscrew the deck plate on floor covering the fuel sensor in the tank. Next WITH KEY ON short the two terminals on the sensor with a short screwdriver or similar. Have someone watch to see if the gauge shows full when touching the sensor terminals together. It may take a few seconds to move as...

    Bennington Lettering Font

I just got my numbers from domednumbers.com They are very nice BUT look closely at your logo on your boat before you order. My Bennington logo letters look like brushed nickel, but they are in fact what domednumbers call chrome. If you order brushed nickel the letters you get will look like...

New L series build questions and advice.

First ask yourself if you would ever sell or trade this boat. If you plan to die owning it then rig to your needs. After working in golf course maintenance 33 years there is a thing called "curb appeal". We always made sure the holes visible from street and clubhouse got best attention. Curb...

What does you wife wear on her hair for days out in the water?

My wife braids her long blonde hair into pigtails same as when we ride the Harley. No tangles to deal with later this way plus she really looks good! There are also leather wrap covers made for this purpose at any motorcycle accessory store or dealership. Ask the ladies at a Harley dealer how to...

Proper SUV for 21' SLX & 115hp motor

Depending on the ramp angle you use (and it doesn't take much) you will wish you had got a 4X4 of some kind. Wet ramps can be impossible to pull a boat out. Go on youtube and search "site six havasu" to see what I'm saying. That ramp is not very steep and the people go there just to watch people...

    Single axle vs tandem

You didn't say where you are at and temperature makes a lot of difference with trailer tires. I live in the southwest desert where we were over 125 degrees several days this summer. That makes some very hot pavement! You gotta have solid equipment to handle that safely. Your boat prolly weighs...

    Wiring harness

The blue color is used for cabin lighting positive switched. The black should be ground (negative battery). Since I see four pair (four positive blue and four black negative) I am gonna guess they are factory installed for lighted cup holders or other items that were not put on your boat...

Electrical cable caught in my prop

Yamaha makes these harness very long as they do not know what size boat it will be rigged to. The dealer who rigs the boat should coil the extra and tie it SECURELY out of the way. This is normally secured to below deck inside frame above a pontoon.

Electrical cable caught in my prop

That is the main ambilocal harness from Yamaha to the dash. This harness IS NOT installed at Bennington factory but rather is a dealer mistake. If the rubber coating has any damage at all you need to request your dealer who rigged the boat to order and install a replacement harness. A lot of...

    Yamaha VMAX 90 on a 20ft pontoon

Oh yeah, best bet on your stern light would be to order a new light complete online and just use the lens from the new one. They don't cost much and you may find an LED that you want to use.
