I suggest 3 bumpers. Place a line from the bow cleat to the nearest cleat on the dock. Place a line from the stern cleat to the nearest cleat on the dock. If there is a cleat on the dock neat mid-ship, run a spring line from the stern cleat to the dock cleat near mid-ship and either continue the...
I don't know for sure, but it seems the change was made when motors became fuel injected. There was no need to have the button to push in while you used the throttle to add choke to start.
FYI - For pressurized vessels/tanks (such as fire extinguishers, welding tanks, etc.), most manufacturers and test agencies use water to pressure test instead of air. When a tank is pressurized with water, it doesn't take much air to get up to pressure. If the tank fails, a little bit of water...
I remember a couple other people had problems similar to this a few years ago and it turned out that the adhesive used to hold the flooring created the staining. Definitely review with the dealer.
Sorry for the loss of your pet.
Growing up on a farm, I always cared about animals and pets, but never 'loved them'. I never understood how people would be so depressed and emotional when they lost a pet.
But...
New Years Eve 5 years ago, in single digit temps, we found a dog and 3 very small...
I think many of the trailer manufacturers put the cheapest (meaning crappiest) tires on to save a few bucks. I have heard many stories like the above where the tire delaminates or splits open within 200 miles. The end user buys and puts decent tires on and have minimal issues for years.
I have a rear fishing model. I attached an elastic cargo net to the port side wall behind the L-bench seat and the corner access panel. There is just enough space between the wall and the fishing seat so the fishing seat still swivels. The boat is wrapped, so I can't take a photo, but if I...
Some other items that are not expensive that should be on the boat include:
1. Set of tools (pliers, screwdrivers, etc.) - You never know when you will need to use them, plus a few zip ties and duct tape
2. Spray bottle of soap/water mixture to spray on upholstery if something gets spilled, plus...
As a safety reminder, these docking lights are intended to be used for docking and other similar uses, not as headlights cruising the water at night. Having these bright LEDs coming at you while boating is a hazard while trying to safely operate your boat.
As others have mentioned, go through everything, even if you are a seasoned boater. Ask them to show you the following (partial list, not all inclusive):
1. Bimini: Proper way to open and close, while it is open - look for tears in bimini, loose screws (give it a shake), how to put in trailering...
I would move up to 1/2" lines minimum. Compared to other types of boats, pontoons with their fences act like parachutes. When the wind blows, they will put a lot more force on the lines compared to more traditional V-hull style boats. Dock lines are not that expensive. Maybe ask for the dealer...
I got the same advice the the-little-B above got. I have the platinum color. Gets hot in direct sunlight, but is easy to clean, does not 'stick' to you, and feels much nicer against your body (back, back of arms, back of legs, etc) than traditional vinyl. Well worth the few moments of 'hot'.
