I will throw my 10 cents in (inflation)
I run the 10% ethonal in my 2012 75hp Mercury hasnt had a problem with around 70 hours on it as we speak, Mercury also states that you can go ahead and run the E15 if needed, thought I would give this a try next year E15 is 90 octane.
Motor is set up to...
I have a 2012 24' SF the pontoons are 22' in length the deck is shorter than the pontoons 21.5'ish my deck sits about 2" to 3" beyond the rear of the pontoons the motor mount sits 2' beyond the pontoons giving you the 24' demention, with the extended platform I would say your deck should be...
Look at your Prop nut the size and pitch of the prop should be listed there, there should be a number on the side of the prop and the last two digits should be the pitch.
If you were happy with the performance of this prop then by all means go back with the same prop.
I picked up my 2012 24' SF in August of last year at that time I was also looking at a 20' the dealer told me to stop looking at a 20' because he could sell me a 24' for about the same price.
I didnt find out the price difference but the seating layout was better in the 24' than the 20'
my 24'...
All you can do is try, try out a prop a pitch up this would probably be a 17 pitch (it looks like your running a 15)
this will bring your RPM's down and you may not gain much more in speed.
there are many different variables in props, pitch, cupping, diameter, 4 blade to 3 blade, aluminum to...
every one has their special sauce they like for a fuel additive.
Dont cut my fingers off, but I had a 28' Crownline with a 496HO kept it at the Marina on a lift everytime I went to run this boat the injectors would clog up and i would then get a miss in this engine every one told me to use sea...
you should have an antenna hooked into the back of the stereo, this (plastic/wire)antenna can be moved around under the dash to get better reception, if you can work a portion of it out and into the open this will help.
But no I have not hooked up an antenna (outside/mast)to this stereo.
I will have to say that if this was my boat same situation, (2012 MODEL) I would insist that it was put back to the condition it was in when it was dropped off for repairs.
I have welded for years and will be the first to tell you if you strike a submerged rock or tree stump your weakest point...
I just think the water patrol is P.O d. because your lights look better than than theirs.
Bad A$$ boat though, I hope you have a back up battery system, LOL.
I installed mine myself, my trailer came with four upright posts with a plastic collar over them, so i changed them to the carpeted side peice.
I have mine set at about 4" in the back and about 2" in the front, you dont want them too tight as you might damage you pontoons if you dont load...
welcome aboard Brian
I will begin by saying that Im running a 13 pitch prop on a 2012 24' two toon with a 75 hp Merc. with that said I can run about 20 to 22 mph at about 5500rpm
I will say you can run a 13 pitch prop, a 14 or 15 might even be better, your RPM's will come down with the higher...
