I looked on a map and Ballentine,sc is real close to Lake Murray which is quite large. Why would you want to go to Lake Wylie?

Are you talking about Ballantyne area south of Charlotte? If so then yes you're close to Wylie but it is small.

Moving Forward: Sorry for the late response, I have been out of it for weeks. Have you decided to go to Lake Norman at this point? I boated Norman for years in my pre-pontoon life and enjoyed it immensely.  We were drawn to the northwest corner of the lake and kept our boat at Lake Norman Marina where the Bennington dealer is located. Great spot but a far piece from my house in SE Charlotte. I grew up on Lake Wylie boating with my uncle and made the move there 4 years ago. Not Norman but still a great lake with approx. 20-25 miles length and 1-2 miles width, I keep my boat at Pier 49 Marina on a hydrohoist and it runs 300 per month for the slip with power and water. 30 minutes from the house and now we can justify a half day when that is all the time we have. Good luck on your decision.
