Yesterday I had a great day with my first solo launch of our new 20 SLi.

Being new to pontooning I was pretty relieved at how easy it was to launch and later load the 20 SLi back onto my trailer.

It was 64 degrees and a little breezy. I spent about 4.5 hrs out on the lake and the fuel guage barely moved. The Yamaha 70

is really a nice match for this size toon.

My wife and I sure are looking forward to a summer of TOONING fun!

Hey Toons Up...congratulations on your new boat! Love the boat colors and your color-matched fenders. I think I may have seen you on Lake Norman!

HERE IS AN IMPORTANT NEW BOATER BOATING TIP: Never drive around the lake with your fenders hanging off the boat...we call those guys FENDER NERDS!!! Plus, you'll lose them in the lake, plus, they'll bounce around and drive you crazy, plus, they'll kick up water and splash you!!!

Got it! Yeah, I kinda forgot to pull the fenders up..........NEW BEEE!

That sure is a pretty color combo. I love red! I'm jealous that you are already boating. The lakes are still very hard here in Michigan.

Enjoy, it's only new once!

Thanks Goldenrod. We are getting lots of rain here today which is fine we need it. We have the only Red Pontoon on our small 2000 acre lake. We have had several nice compliments. I like the visibility out on the water. And our friends recognize us quickly. :)

Soon the Michigan lakes will open up and you'll have a great summer of boating!

I agree with G & B....I haven't had mine out yet either and I'm somewhat concerned about loading back on the trailer. You have a nice looking toon....Congrats! I know I'll be on the lake in a matter of weeks since the water is back up. I'm just waitin' on some warm weather.

I forgot to mention....nice looking numbers on the boat too. I've been trying to decide how I want my numbers to look.

I had a sign shop make up the numbers. They also added our boat name - TOON'D OUT - to the rear boat panel. I am hoping to post pics of the name soon. A little add pic challenged here.

As for solo launch and load. I found a very slow approach in all that you do launching and loading is best.

I love that not only your fenders match...but your jacket and hat do too!! You look SO HAPPY!! Congratulations and enjoy your new toy!!

Joyfultooner,

You are going to love your 20 SLi. We have found that the 20' is perfect for the two of us and fairly easy to launch and load.

What color combo did you order? Have you chosen a name yet? I look forward to seeing pics.

Thank you for you kind note, and yes I am very happy with our new TOON.

Cheers!

TOONS UP

Our '95 Riviera Cruiser, that we just traded in for our Bennington, was a 20. It is the perfect size for us and we didn't see any reason to get a bigger boat since the 20 is upgraded so beautifully!!

Our boat is Black with black and java accents and a black bimini. We special ordered the dark mocha snap out carpet since we enjoy red wine.

My hubby called our old boat WMD. Because no one could find us when we were out on a cruise!! LOL

Don't know about a name for this one. We kind of like Bennington....with Key West as our home port. The best name I have found for our boat so far is Cirrhosis of the River. However, I'm certain we would be on the Sheriffs watch list with that one!!

Enjoy!!

PS: Can you give me instructions on posting a photo. I'm new to this forum thing! Thanks!
