Are Twin 32" Elliptical Pontoons worth the dollars

Just back from the boat show. We purchased a 2550 GBR and as you can guess we are very excited.

• We have 2 young girls that I expect to pull around on a tube.
  
• We fitted the boat with a 115hp Yamaha
  

any feed back on the twin ellipitical option. Adding the ESP is outside my price range.

I have the elliptical pontoons on my 24 SSL. Very fast, smooth ride, but doesn't turn well. I have a 150 HP on mine; I think you'll be disappointed with the 115. Your boat weighs 600 lbs more than mine, plus you have a bigger fuel tank (35 gal vs. 20 for mine) so that will add additional weight when full. Your pontoons are also 3' longer than mine. That will add additional drag. In the end I think you'll kick yourself for not getting the bigger motor.

IF AT ALL POSSIBLE, (and I know sometimes it's not) go up to the 150 HP if you can. I would do that over the elliptical pontoons or the ESP package.

By the way, I think that's an awesome looking boat.
