I have a 2016 SFX22 with a white open vent on the deck underneath my rear bait well that splashes water in while under way. There are other electric line ports on the deck in the same area near the battery that have short neoprene hoses with zip ties to help keep the water incursion to a minimum. But the one white vent has no way to seal out the water which splashes in all over my batteries. Anyone have an idea to block it off (cap or hose) will under way? Was going to put in an additional side vent to assist with ventilation of the battery compartment, so ventilation is not any issue. There is already a vent on the rear of the bait well and battery access box. Seems like a either a poor design or something is missing/fell off. i bought it used, and never noticed the problem before.

Appreciate any advice. New to boating and to Bennington. I'm adding a second house battery and ACR switch, with on-board charger, so would like to protect my investment as much as possible.

Thanks
Tom
