After prepping my 2005 22RL Tri-toon I noticed that the battery switch was not functioning properly. In the off position I am still getting power to every switch on the helm, the aux, the blower, nav. lights etc. Is this a common phenomenon when a battery switch goes bad or should i suspect a more serious electrical problem? Everything was functioning properly at the end of the 2017 season.

All I can say is that when my battery switch is off all the power is off everywhere. Welcome to the forum btw.

Might get it looked at. Hate for you to have a dead battery at inopportune time:(

Thanks for the responses and the welcome. Spoke to a local dealer (Wilson Marine), the best group of mechanics I’ve seen and they agree I have a bad switch. Will get replaced promptly. Thanks again!!!!

Welcome aboard captain! Glad they are flipping out the bad switch and replacing it. Happy boating.
