Bimini top snap in rail

Does anyone else have trouble getting the "easy snap in rails" to latch and unlatch?  Is there a secret to this?

They are tight when new.....I just bump the rail out or in with the heal of my hand.

There are tight when there are new. I take down the poles. untie the boots around the bimini pull on one side kind of pulling down on one side at a time. I really like them. Just a matter of getting use to them

What are easy snap in rails?

i use a medium size rubber mallet to gently tap the snap while I take a little pressure off the bimini with my other hand.

Better tight than loose, make sure they are snapped all the way shut or you will lose your bimini

or use chapstick that I also use on the canvas snaps.
