Can anyone tell me if the amount of pressure required to steer a 90 is similar to what a 115 would be.  Is is worth the money to upgrade to hydraulic?

I can't answer specifically to the Yammy, but the black and shiny 90 and 115 are basically the same motor with different tuning. I'd guess, everything else being equal, that they would steer the same with equal inputs of effort required.

You most likely would not notice any difference between the cable or hydraulic systems. What you get with a hydraulic system is a more reliable and steady system. So I would say it's worth the money.

Two advantages of the hydraulic

1- It will absorb the torque steer

2- As the cable deteriorates over time it will require increased steering effort where the cable will steer like day 1 in perpetuity. When new, steering effort would be equal assuming that ratios are equal.
