I went to the local superstore tonight to pick up some odds and ends that I knew I'd be needing. I have a big family boat adventure planned for Dad's Day weekend.

Here's what I picked up:

- 4 rolls of porta-potty friendly TP

- containers to keep the TP dry

- a plastic crate to keep stuff in

- 2 tanks of propane for the grill

- a small, soft-sided cooler for storing the propane cylinders

- a foldable 5 gallon water jug

- a first aid kit

- a large-sized hand sanitizer

- a long butane lighter for lighting the grill

All this crap was $70!!!!!!!! Stuff adds up.

"all that crap" = $70

full tank of gas = $100

Enjoying father's day with the family on the lake in a Bennington = Priceless!!! :D

Full tank of gas = $219.00 for us with the 60 gal tank. (ouch)

Of course, it cost less than a trip to Disney!

Enjoy Dad on fathers day.

You are right about costs mounting up "goldenrod" - seems like every week I am spending $40-50 on something related to the boat

Should have saved yourself a couple of bucks and just stole a roll of tp from the house!

btw: I now have a rule on my boat that the porta-potty can only be used for "number one" unless it is a true emergency and the only people who can say they have an emergency are kids under 10 and even then I decide if it is really a true emergency

I was once was told you can simulate the joys of boating by standing in a cold shower while tearing up $100 bills

Yes, it all adds up quickly
