Does Fuel Gauge Purple Wire Go To Ground on 2015 2375 GCW ?

My fuel gauge is pegging full when I turn my ignition key on. I found a purple wire disconnected in a wire bundle that looks like it could come from the fuel gauge, can't tell for sure because it's buried in the wire bundle. If it is coming from the fuel gauge should it be grounded?

All other boat electrical items work fine except the blue LED's in my speakers.

Either your float is stuck, or the wire from the tank to the gauge is grounded. Or...…...you have a bad gauge. Can you get to your sending unit?
