DORI POLE

I came across a Dori Pole on my lake. So I did a little research on them and found a video where one was mounted on a Pontoon. Has anyone mounted something like this on there boat? If so how is best? I would only put it up when floating not moving

We have one on our dock over the boat to keep birds away. However, if I wanted one on it while floating or beached, maybe just zip tie it for effect, and cut the ties when done. If doing it often, then I’d probably consider other options.
