I've had a Bennie since 2011 and the ramp into Lake Michigan is 2 blocks from my house, but it's just not ever been feasible. Lots of folks ask me if I boat on the Big Lake and until today, my answer has been "nope."

But, I can no longer answer that way. Today, the bay was mirror-flat, so I jumped. The Big Lake was lumpy with small rollers, so I didn't stay long, but I lingered longer in the bay and had great fun! See photos.

Beautiful shots. Thanks for sharing.

We also have an invasive species transmission law that requires rinsing off boats (and flushing engines) that come into inland lakes from the Great Lakes, so it's a lot of work afterward. I'll most likely stick with inland boating, but today was fun, none-the-less.

Looks like a good time. Do they make you rinse the interior too or just the exterior and motor?

No to the interior. I'll snap a photo posted at the launch next time I go by.

Thanks for sharing.

Not seeing the value that this adds to my topic.
