The Speedo on my Bravo 3 has been stuck or broken for some time. I finally said OK whats it gonna take. You Tube is your friend, I had to use this method. My Speedo was Jammed full of what looked like dryed out dirt It was real far up in the speedo hole. Thank goodness i had a extra long 8 inch drill bit I used to un-clog the speedo hole
but blowing air backwards threw the tube from the top of the outdrive down into the speedo tube with some warm soap did the trick.

I pretty much did the exact same thing this guy did

I had a speedometer issue when I lived in Virginia. We couldn't figure out why there was so much water in the bilge area when we were done boating for the day. Investigation revealed that the speedometer pick up tube had a slit or crack in it and it was leaking water into the bilge area. Friends tell me why I even bother with the speedometer in our Benny. When I checked the accuracy against my GPS the speedometer is actually pretty accurate. It's only 3 mph faster than GPS.
