I've been considering adding the Garmin Echomap 43 DV to my 20'SLX and was wondering if anyone else had any experience with that series of chartplotter. I flip back and forth between between the Intracoastal Waterway and a couple of lakes here in central South Carolina. I hate the idea of having to buy both the Blue water charts (for the ICW) AND the IN:and lake chart but it is what it is. My question(s) about the series: Does it handle both chart groups well? If I went with just the Blue Water charts and tried to use the device on an inland lake (without the additional Lake Vu charts) what appears on the screen? Any input would be appreciated.
