Help lost power

Have a 22 ft with 150 Yamaha. Always opened her up and reached 39 mph and about 5400 rpm all of a sudden 5500 rpm gets 27 max mph no spun hub no cabling issue no water in the tubes marina where I bought her can't figure out what is wrong had to leave her in brackish water after hurricane and tubes have slight algae growth could it really be the growth?

Yes algae will slow you down . Mine is kept in a slip ,I "try" to wipe it down once a week at the sand bar .

If it's still running the same RPM and they are sure the prop is good, then I would think it would have to be the algae growth as well.

I have a 24sslx w/150 and after 3 to 4 months left in the water I go from 38/39 down to 24/25.Just clean the tubes and your back to normal.
