I was responding to another post with a list of ways I use my iPhone. Thought I'd see if anyone else has any good Apps or other ways to use their iPhone while boating.

Here's my list. Reply with your ideas!

1. WindAlert App. - Forecasts the wind for the day and week. Will send push notification high wind alerts.

2. Navionics App - for a map of your lake. Track your position and movement. Includes depth contours and hazard areas highlighted on the map! To be honest for $10 this is on par with the Garmin GPS capabilities.

3. Knot Time App. - Videos of how to make nautical knots of various types and applications.

4. Speedometer App - Uses GPS to display your actual speed.

5. Sailflow.com - pull up their web site for additional wind information

I use some of the ones you listed and especially agree about the Navionics App. I also use:

Animated Grog Knots - knot app.

Boat Ramps - Lists ramps around lakes.

Boating Suite - Keeps various logs on trips, fuel, maintenance, expenses, etc.
