Ice out on the Whitefish Chain

Just got the word this morning that the ice went out of the Whitefish Chain last night. They have already set the docks at the landings. Our "dock guy" informed me this morning that they will install my lifts and dock next Wednesday.

Now if Lake Vermilion will open up before the MN fishing opener the 8th we will be happy campers(boaters!!)

I was pleasantly surprised how fast the ice went out, it was looking really grim two weeks ago. All is good.
