After doing some research on live well strainers, I finally located some 3/4" strainers. CPVC fittings fit the drain tubes exactly and found some adapters at the local box store.
Now we don't have to worry about minnows going down the drain tubes. These should allow more than adequate flow. I cut the drain tubes to the same length so as to ensure the same water level in the wells.
