Since there have been a number of new owners asking how to load the boat on a trailer, I got my wife to video me this evening. I’ve described the way I do it, but this will put the words into motion. I back my trailer in until the fenders just go below the surface, or at least close to that point. Then slowly ease forward.....
After it stops partially loaded, I trim the motor up so it level with the surface of the water and make Sure the motor is straight forward. If it’s turned you’ll possibly put horizontal pressure on the toons against the guide posts. And tilting the motor up will keep the thrust as if you were cruising, keeping a washout from happening when you power on up the trailer. I usually have my wife just back down enough to power up to the stops, but she was busy with my phone.
