Mercury 150 four stroke alternator re-call

Dropped off our 2012 Bennington 22SSi at the dealer for a Mercury factory re-call on the alternator bracket on Tuesday, dealer says our Mercury 150 four stroke needs the up-graded alternator bracket and because we have more than 25 hrs on the boat (47 hrs) they are required to replace the alternator too! Good news is that the cost is all covered by Mercury! Bad news the parts are on order from Mercury and it will be next week before we get our boat back!

Curious if its just the 150 4 stroke Merc's.  Let us know if you learn any more about the recall. Congrats on getting a new alternator with the bracket, "dislike" on losing the boat for another week.
