Mercury Motor new design

Volvo does that already ,not sure if any one else does
 
I saw this last week. Mercury is certainly talking it up. That said, I don’t know anything about it other than the press release my dealer sent out to everyone.
 
Uh oh! I will need a lot of help with my self control. PADS may start to set in. The only thing we can’t do with the present Tritune is surf. It would be interesting to know if having the prop in undisturbed water would make it more efficient as well.
 
One of my neighbors has one of those drives on his wakeboard boat, but its a Volvo. I think it basically gives the same pulling properties as a V-Drive boat, but you can actually steer it in reverse which is unlike a V-Drive. He loves it!
 
Those are for MerCruiser V6 and V8 gas engines ranging from 250 to 430 hp.
