Mounting to the plywood

I have a 2021 188 SLV. I'm installing a transducer and would like to use plastic clamps with stainless steel screws for the conduit. How thick is the plywood and is it okay to put screws in it?
Thanks,
Jon

I don’t know the answer to the thickness but why conduit? Ive always run split loom for wires along with electrical tape where needed and a few zip ties.

I’m pretty sure it’s 3/4” marine ply. 1/2” screws are what I used.Factory screws into it so I’d think it’s ok.

I have had transducers for many years, run the cable ontop of the pontoon. personally i think conduit would hold water inside and do more damage. just my thoughts.

Especially if you are in a climate that experiences freezing temperatures.

For anybody that will ever use split loom in their lifetime, this is a worthwhile investment of $6.
(Wow! That picture is big. In real life, it is about 2 or 3 inches long.)
