Bennington 2375 gcw.jpg

I am looking for recommendations as to what type and model of floating lift I should purchase for my Bennington 2375 GCW Tri-toon with ESP and 250 hp Yamaha for installation on an L-Shaped dock.

The boat weighs 2900 lbs + Yamaha 250 hp engine weighs 565 lbs = 3,465

Fuel is potentially 400 lbs

Gear is potentially 300 lbs

Total weight without people= 4165

My new Bennington is going to be used in Louisville KY on the Ohio river and we plan on keeping the boat in a marina with floating docks.  Floating docks are necessary because the river water level varies greatly from month to month.  The boat slips are L-Shaped, having only have one "finger for each slip, not two sides like at many lake storage. A picture of the dock setup is attached.  We want to lift the boat because the Ohio River produces some pretty nasty buildup on boats that are left in the water.

The marina is objecting to front mounting float lifts.

Therefore, whatever lift we pick will need to be a side mount, floating lift capable of being mounted on one side only.

I have looked for used lifts in the area and have not been able to locate an acceptable pre-owned.  Looks like I will be buying a new lift, but need the input from other Bennington owners before I purchase.

I have done some brief research and discovered that Hydro hoist makes a lift called the HarborHoist, but I can not find anyone who uses this style lift.  They make one rated at 4400 lbs (approx $11,000 installed) and another rated at 6600 lbs (approx $15,000 installed)

Sunstream makes two lifts... One called a float lift and the other is a v-lift

The 6000 lb floatlift is approx $15,000 and operates with hydraulic cylinders that lower unsinkable, foam filled pontoon floats to lift the boat.  My concern with this lift is that it appears to lift pontoons by lifting via bunks positioned under the deck (not under the pontoons)  I would love to know if someone has used this type of lift with a Tri-Toon

Sunstream also makes a lift called the v-lift.  I would like to know if anyone has used this lift with a tri-toon

I will appreciate guidance from anyone who can recommend solutions.

Best Regards

Hi Todd - We have a HydroHoist UltraLift and really like it so far...just installed this season.  Our Marina exclusively uses HydroHoist and our friends in neighboring slips had nothing but positive things to say, so we felt pretty good about the purchase.  Good luck with your decision.

PS - I'm a Louisville, KY native and miss 'home'.  My family is all still there, so we're back pretty often.

Has anyone ever seen these lifts by EZ Dock?

It says you can add air assist for boats I think up to 5000lbs. Not sure if it would work for tri toons, also not sure how easy it would be to get off. Just saw a brochure at my local Yamaha dealer yesterday. They said they have a few people locally using them for PWC. Kind of a neat idea

Our dealer sold the pwc version and said they've removed/replaced almost every one over the years. Customers didn't really like them but our lakes have shallow sandy shorelines here so the standard 4 poster cantilever lift works really well and is simple for repairs, etc.

Anyone using a tritoon lift on Nolin Lake Ky? If so what kind? I have  Q25 with 350 Yamaha.
