I have a new 2018 22 GSR with gate loungers and I couldn't use the good ole floor stops you mount on the floor (toe-foot killers). So I came up with this idea. I took some of my extra webbing from the cover that goes over the bimini top and a snap kit and put this together. It works great and helped a couple other Benny Friends out.

Nice neat look. Do you leave the gate open when underway?

Sometimes we leave open, more mainly the rear gate.

Slick! How did you attach the other end?

Flathead screw through the plastic. The strap is approx. 6" long if that

Looks really nice. How does the 22GSR do with the 200hp? I have one on order with a 200 Merc.

It's Great!!! Handles very well with the 200, I get 40mph two people, full tank.

Nice. We use a small rubber door wedge. I’ve been wanting to do what you did, wondered if it would look “factory”, and I think it does. Thanks for posting!!

I found these wedges at Home Depot for about $4 each, and I used velcro under them so they can be removed easily if desired. They seem to work great so far...you just lift the gate slightly and place it on the wedge to hold the door open...easy one handed operation. I wish Bennington would use a magnetic gate holder to keep the door open....I think that would be the best fix, but I couldn't figure out a good solution without having to put a screw through interior upholstery. I like the snap idea, but I wanted to try a no-drill option first. This is one of the only things I've found that Bennington should have thought out better. fullsizeoutput_3820.jpeg

We do the same thing. We bought the brown wedges. I thought of magnets and snaps too. I might put a snap base on floor and make a short strap on the door with snaps. Hmmmmm

Chris A, what kind of wedge is that? It doesn't look like a Felling Wedge.

Great idea Chris! Thanks for sharing...
