Off season activities-what do you do?

No off season here. We go to Dale Hollow Lake and watch for Eagles. Last couple years been out on Christmas Day and New years day. Just this past weekend we saw 10 juveniles and several Adults. The search for Eagles actually turned me into a boater!

One of my hobbies ... some aren’t the greatest, horrible lighting.

Those are some awesome pictures!

Those are some awesome pictures!

Its amazing how many photos I take for that “one” shot. I‘ve probably shot well over 100,000 photos over past couple years (not hard with multi shot) and have maybe 10 “perfect” shots (in my eyes). The enjoyable part is, I can post up my “ok” shots, and people love them. On a couple FB groups I post on, many people can’t afford, nor get out to get pictures like these, so they get to enjoy them through my lense. The Eagle photos are the most popular.

Here’s an Great Egret, and a young white tail deer foraging.

I can tell you really enjoy taking pictures and trust me perfect is in the eye of the beholder. You probably see every imperfection that very few other people see.

Yeah, I try to remember my pics may not be quite as good as some of my friends, but my lens was $800 used. Theirs were $4000 plus (used) ...

Mine look fine @ 14”x20” from 5 feet away ... ;)

Here are a couple shots of my activity yesterday

Well my “off season” toy came in ... a couple months earlier than expected. With all the supply issues and it comes in early. Go figure. Panthergirl wasn’t real enthused about camping so I downsized to a weekend retreat size. Still has a bathroom, so she’s happy. LOL!! This is the rainy day and fall/spring getaway when not boating. Probably be me and Bentley most times. :pPhotos aren’t mine but just like it.

Looks like a nice and cozy weekend get away option. Also looks easier to manage than a bigger set up. Enjoy!!!

So being the “off season” is coming, we are looking at a small camper to travel around (locally for now). This will also be our “dreary day” activity when weathers too ugly to boat. Panthergirl is a “sunshine“ boater ... LOL!
We are looking at a Geo Pro/E-Pro (Same assembly line, different “company”) 19FD It’s a Murphy bed type to save space. Small but just the two of us anyhow.

That is Sweet - we offgrid camp on a regular basis, key items: Dual Battery, Extra Water Tank, Generator (built in or a small Honda) - if/as available and depending on how you are going to use - per your specs below, you have the solar which is a great add on. Enjoy!

Looks nice Dave. I’m hoping to do some camping with the family.my wife prefers sleeping away from home though at places with a front desk...
