That should be a good time. Did your dealer give you any tips for handling big wake/waves? We've typically avoid the intracoastal as there are some giant boats that rip around.
I didn’t have any problems. In fact my tritoon seems to handle them better than most of the fiberglass hulls ive been on. Quite a few of the big boats were migrating north as we cruised down and we stayed dry. Just take them at a 45 and keep it steady. In fact the dealer took us on a sea trial before we pulled the trigger, found one of those big boats crossed its wake and that’s what sold me! Got back to the shop and put a down payment in right away. Picked up my boat two weeks later.

Looks beautiful. Congratulations on the new boat.

First sunset cruise with the new pontoon. I had some friends in town that had never been on my boat so we took a cruise to downtown, stopped for dinner at a local microbrewery, and listened to a live band playing on the patio of a bar. We took our time going back to the marina as the sunset was beautiful and the lights on the bridges we fully functional. I was fairly nervous for the first 20 minutes after the sun had set. There are some buoys to navigate through and it took some time to be comfortable in the dark. But once I was comfortable, I could relax and enjoy the scenery with the moon reflecting off the ripples of the river.sunset cruise.jpg

Spent the day on the boat, yesterday. The little wife and I celebrated our 19 anniversary. Went up the river, cooked some steaks and taters on the grill, and just enjoyed time together.
