Being new to performance pontooning, I am curious about painting the pontoons of tritoon boats with antifouling paint on boats left in the water. Zebra mussels in Lake Erie are one issue, but would you not get better performance and fuel economy without all the junk growing and increasing drag? Fiberglass boat bottoms are routinely painted, yet it seems not to be common practice on pontoons? What don't I understand ?
