Power Steering?

So my 2577 RFi is very easy to steer. Even with the 150 Yammie going full blast. You can stick a finger in the spoke of the steering wheel and turn it with just the finger.

I can see it has the Sea Star hydraulic steering, but I'm wondering if it is actually power-assisted as well. (I bought the boat used). Where would the pump be, or what is the quick and easy way to tell if it is actually power-assisted hydraulic steering rather than just hydraulic?

Believe me when I say if it didn’t have power assisted steering you would not be steering with one finger. Mine is located under the helm, but some dealers install them under the rear seats.

Turn the wheel with the ignition off and then turn it on.

How big are your fingers? Once I have that data I'll be able to determine if you likely have power assist.
