Prop size on Mercury 250 Verado's

Welcome to the forum Dale! Before members chime in check out the Members Zone. Props and Power forum. That's where members post their motors, props, and specs info. Just scroll through what other members are using with the same set up as you.

What model boat do you have and what toon package do you have? There is not a general prop just for a motor is all about what the motor is pushing.

What are the details of your current GSR 2250?

1. WOT RPM
2. Top Speed
3. Current prop diameter and pitch
4. Goal (watersports, higher top speed, better fuel economy while cruising at lower RPM, heavy hole shot, etc)

Ran some info through the Merc Prop Selector:

2013 2275RCW ESP with 250 Pro, Enertia 18p was 50.9mph @6250rpm lightly loaded.

What prop size is everyone running on their Bennington's with Mercury 250 Verado's?
I'm running a Enertia 15x15 with a 250 Verado on a G23, and its just about as good as it gets. I toyed around with some other combinations and talked to Propgods. His opinion was the enertia results I wouldn't beat. Told me to stay with it and go boating

do you have the v6 or V8 250 verado.
If it is the new V8 leave it alone that is about all it will do. If it is the v6 go down to a 15 get the Rpms up and see if it helps any.

G25 with a 250 Verado running a 13P 15.6 Enertia and seeing 40 mph @ 6700 rpm with a medium load. While I could probably pick up a few more mph by going to a 15P, I've got a fairly heavy boat but my hole shot is awesome and very limited prop blowout in high speed maneuvers.

G23 with ESP and 250 Verado V8 15x15 Enertia. WOT is 40 MPH at 6000 RPM which is max for that motor. Mounted top hole. I might move it down a notch.
