Getting ready to finalize the build order tomorrow and thinking we are going to change from the darker (hotter?) Graphite Simtex to Silver but keep the Carbon Metallic accent fabric.

Curious if anyone has this combo and would be willing to post a pic.

Thanks!

To add more info to your decision, I have the Graphite Simtex with Metallic Carbon and love it. It looks killer. Yes, it get's hot if it's super sunny and it's exposed, but it's not like you'll get burnt. And it's just the initial touch, and then it's fine. Our crew usually sits on their towels anyway, but that's not a hot seat thing, that's just the way we roll.

Man, I love the looks of the Graphite Simtex, but I think I'm going to get the Arctic Ice White Simtex (even if I have to special order it) just due to the fact that I love boating, but I hate the heat...my house stays at 66-71°F year-round.

My new 21SLX has the silver simtex with metallic carbon accents. Here are a few photos:

I have the Silver base with graphite accent. Looks good, not burning hot. Then again we are running and gunning a lot so airflow is frequently dissipating the heat. Would have loved the white but all those black mystery spots would be painfully obvious and I’d be spending more time cleaning and less actual boating. Silver is a great compromise.

I just gotta say, that is a lot of nice looking boat interiors everyone. Love them! Makes me wish I had not whet in my ”practical” but plain interior color choice direction.

As to the OP, I don’t think you can go wrong. Both directions you seem to be considering look great. If you decide to “compromise’ with the silver base and carbon ascent due to concerns with heat, based on the pictures above, you wont be compromising at all. It’s pretty sweet looking too.

We had the same dilemma and ended up with the graphite. Yes it gets hot, but we went with what we originally wanted as we were afraid we would regret it if we changed and didn’t like the lighter colors.

We are constantly swimming, so being wet and sitting on a hot seat didn’t make much of a difference for us.

Either way, you’ll be happy!

Al B just bought my bennington from the same dealer! Nice looking ride. We are going to be on Winnipesaukee. You there or Winnisquam or someplace else?

Hahaha thats Awsome this is the second boat we bought from these guys and we have nothing to compare with but they are professional and efficient, but we boat alone in the Great North Woods in Pittsburg on the first Connecticut Lake, some times when we go out to launch the boat we have to wait for another family to either launch or load.. can you image that we have to wait like five minutes and we don't always get the first or second parking spot.

Love the silver/graphite on our R25. Doesn’t get nearly as hot as the seats on our 2011 R - the simtex is fantastic.
