THE COUNTDOWN BEGINS

I double dog dare ya!

We are looking at temps in the 60's and sunny here this weekend......very rare for mid Feb in Ohio.  Should I or shouldn't I take the boat battery to the lake with us this weekend just for a quick trip out and around the lake

Jill has Monday off and we are thinking about launching the boat in Cincinnati and boating down to Beltarra casino for a day trip.

Sounds like a great time!

My neighbor put his docks in today in the chilly rain, probably 5 or 6 hours in waders. Man, that water looked cold!

What took him so long? On the years I don't leave mine in I'm out there the day after the ice melts!

And so it begins ..... :(

We had some snow flakes coming down this morning. Yay!

Same in south central Texas, mid 80s for the next week. The only downside is you have to work your way through August to get here, which I never fully appreciated until we made the move..

The Nation Weather Service in Gaylord reported 7 inches of snow this morning. It is about 3/4 of the way north in the lower peninsula of Michigan for those not familiar with Michigan. Of course it melted with the relatively warm ground and temps 30s to near 40 later.
