Just closed on my new boat today. What type top speed can I expect on a 23 SSB SPS with a Mercury 250 xl? Anyone else have this same set up? Any info or input would be appreciated. Thanks.

I would think mid to high 40’s light, probably high 30’s to 40 with a decent load.

What he said. ^^^

I've got a 2574GL ESP with a 250 merc and can get 40 with 3 people and a full tank.
I agree you should see mid 40's, and get there quick.
You'll love it

Thanks for your reply. I’ll try to give an update after we finish our break in.

You are making me regret not getting the SPS+ with the 250 Mercury now. :D Those are some very nice numbers. Zoom, zoom!

Have you been able to post any pictures of it yet? Would love to see some if you haven’t yet. Unlike us Michiganders, I would imagine you can pretty much boat all year too. Enjoy your time on it.

I’m bummed the 200 was the biggest I could get on mine too. Oh well!

Here are a few more pics. We are thrilled with how the new boat turned out-a little pricey but you can’t take it with you.

Yes we could boat year round. We usually boat through October and then switch over to sand season with our Polaris RZR 1000XP in the deserts. We keep pretty busy.0FAA6D15-E790-4398-A22E-AE7B5A72CBC8.jpeg6DE4A7EE-D15F-45FC-916D-90FCE8E5ACA2.jpegC3925B79-A1C0-4A73-AD34-C6EAD304BDF0.jpeg

Zoom, Zoom! She's a beauty...
