On weekends during summer,at the lake we live on in Saskatchewan only allows electric trolling motors and no power boats. I added a 112lb thrust Minnkota to the bow. I didn’t want it across the floor through the front gate in the seating area when not in use so I extended the rub rail so that it stores along the fence. It has auto stow and deploy ,gps and powers our 24’ very well.

Looking good!

Awesome setup. This is very similar to what I was envisioning for mine. How is that box mounted to the rub rail? Are you worried about flex at all with up and down motion?

There are 4 ,3/8 bolts through the rub rail and the back of the quick release bracket bolts through the deck and had an aluminum plate below. Also the middle toon has support there. I have added a few pics with the battery storage and voltmeter.

Looks nice!! Thanks for the extra pics.

Richard could you post a picture from under the deck looking towards the backside of the front rub rail? Does the aluminum rail mate evenly (contact at the top and and bottom) with the front rub rail or did you have to remove the shiny rub rail under the attachment? One of the pictures looks like you put a rubber spacer or something could not tell between the attachment and the rub rail. Thanks for the idea.

The chrome rub rail portion is something I added to the whole boat and it doesn’t go under my extension . I bought that through an automotive supplier. I hope this helps.
