Thinking about buying a Minn Kota PowerDrive 54 Pontoon Trolling Motor for my 20SFNP. Is the 48" shaft long enough?

Sure do appreciate seeing your setup. I bit the bullet and went with the Motorguide 48" Xi3 which I will mount front and center. I was pretty certain the 48" length would be fine and after seeing you video I know it'll work out great. Thanks again Steve.

You can look at my album for pics of mounted front center. Not sure which model boat you have, but I would recommend turning it slightly to the side so that the head is just under the seat with stowed. Mine is a 60" shaft on tri-toon SPS. I liked the 60" a little better to make sure I can put it deep enough in the water without any cavitation in rougher water, plus the head is still high enough to see it easily over the gate to see which direction is is pointing when I am driving from back of the boat.
