Warranty or cash for now

I have a choice with the. 2012 bennie and Yamaha 150hp it comes with 3 year engine warranty and i can get $1100 cash rebate or I can get it with 5 year warranty no cash.... I was figuring I would keep the cash , most factory issues are in 1st three years,,, if any big issues during those 3 I can buy extended warranty or plan on using the $1100 I saved for the 4th and 5th year... I plan on keeping the boat and making sure all maintenance is up to date each year... Plus I believe warranties only cover what does not break,,lol,,, that 1100 I save now I can put towards other things I could use when 1st getting a boat.... Dock, ropes, bumpers, etc,,,,,,,

Your making the right choice.We have a 150 that will be 4 years old this year no problems what so ever.

My Yamaha 115 hp 2 stroke is 26 years old, and all I've ever done is change the plugs and clean the carbs every few years.

You couldn't go wrong either way. I think I'd take the $.

Yeah that's what I did,,, figured if any problem happened it would in 1st 3 years or way after the 5
