Yamaha SHO engine performance comments

Interested in comments from forum members who have one of the Yahama SHO motors on their Bennington. Just ordered a 2275 RCW, esp, with a 250hp SHO but have time to make adjustments before it is built.

Sweet boat, that thing will flat out fly across the water with a 250 on a 22 foot boat. I would like a 225 but am happy with the fuel economy of the 150 and 40 mph is just fast enough to leave most other boats in my wake with looks of disbelief that a pontoon just passed them up. I could go about 8+ hours of easy half throttle cruising with my last rig with a 35 gallon tank, the new one with a 59 gallon tank should be really impressive. will only need to fuel up a couple times a month.
