12 hour Burn in Test

This is an LED light WITHOUT the driver / resister. I'm running straight 12v to see how they hold up. I've got a micro smoke detector placed next to it in case something happens when i'm not around.I ran burn in for 13 hours this way. no failure! My only concern is the heat output affecting the epoxy, the light gets HOTTTTT! No more than an incandescent bulb after being on a few minutes but still too hot to touch more than a second.This is a NON epoxied light, but I laid a thin of piece of partially cured Epoxy on it to see how it would hold up against the heat. Did not melt. Good sign.
