I needed a big 8' antenna and a good radio for the waters I'm planning on boating on. There weren't a lot of pics around of what other people had done (thanks to those that did though!), so I thought I'd post an album of what I did. I used a Shakespeare 8' antenna with ratchet mount and a Standard Horizon GX1700B radio with built-in GPS.
