Yes I did it myself in the driveway. I feel fortunate to be able to do this sort of thing. Before I added a second motor I removed all the drag down the middle of the boat. With the motor off to one side the improvement in efficiency was outstanding. I am very proud of that. Adding the second motor-not so much. That was more like brut force and ignorance.
