Trying to determine why I can only get 3800 RPM WOT in forward. Not the fuel (I siphoned the old), changed fuel filter, not a dead cylinder, goes to 5800+ in neutral-so it's not the the throttle linkage and I don't think it's the prop ( to go from 3800 to 5500 it would have to decrease the...

MY prop is 9 1/4 x 12 1/2.

5200 rpm

I'm a new member from Wisconsin. I own a 2018 Bennington 16 with a 30 HP Merc. 4 stroke. It tops out at 3800 RPM forward, in reverse it will go above 5000 RPM. Is this underpowerd or is there a problem somewhere? Scott
